Business people : Under Armour sourcing executive Janet Fox resigns

Under Armour’s top sourcing executive, Janet Fox, plans to resign later this month from her post with the Baltimore sportswear maker.
Fox, a senior vice president, is stepping down to “pursue other interests,” Under Armour said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing Tuesday. Her resignation is effective Aug. 24.
Sourcing in the apparel industry involves locating fabrics and materials that go into products.
Fox joined the company in early 2011 after a long career with J.C. Penney Co. Inc. (NYSE: JCP).
Jim Hardy, Under Armour’s chief supply chain officer, will assume Fox’s responsibilities “as the company evaluates the organizational structure and management needs of this area,” the filing said.
Fox is the latest high-ranking Under Armour (NYSE: UA) executive to resign from the company.
Stuart Redsun, senior vice president of global marketing, left Under Armour in July after less than a year with the company. Mark Dowley, Under Armour’s former international chief, resigned from his role in April 2011 after four months.
