Business people :Reps Partner to Pick Up Larger Salomon USA Skis Territory

Salomon USA named Rik Andresen and partner, Ed Chase, as its new reps for the Eastern Great Lakes territory in the alpine and Nordic categories effective immediately. Andresen and Chase will continue to serve the southwest and are expanding operations into the Eastern Great Lakes territory.

Previously servicing the southwest alpine category solo, Andresen chose Chase as a partner in this expansion with a new agency name, Rio Great Lakes.

Illinois has moved out of the Eastern Great Lakes territory into the Western Great Lakes territory now handled by Salomon reps, Pete Zeller and Adam Guile.

“I couldn’t be happier to spread my wings to the Midwest,” said Andresen, owner of Rio Great Lakes. “I have roots there and with my knowledge of the brand, I’m confident that I can deliver the service the midwestern dealers need to help grow their business.”

“We reviewed a number of options and it was clear this was the best decision for our valued retail partners and the Salomon brand.” said Salomon Winter Sports Equipment Sales Director Erik Anderson. “Andresen’s decorated Salomon career and his decision to bring on Chase as a partner is a recipe for success in this territory.”

Rik Andresen’s ski career runs deep as he started skiing at Sugarloaf and worked at his first ski shop in 1980. He has since worked in the ski industry in specialty ski shops, as a service technician and as a sales rep for nearly 20 years. Andresen will remain located in Albuquerque, NM.

Ed Chase also has a long and celebrated history in the ski industry. He worked in the southwest in-house and on the road as a Tec/Blizzard rep and a K2 rep. He also did sales for Swix, Bolle and Maui Jim and was a World Cup service technician. Chase will relocate to Traverse City, MI.
