Arctic Ice provides back-up refrigeration in power outages due to severe weather.

Arctic Ice, LLC has recently entered the market with three different products for use in the outdoors for keeping coolers cold, colder and even frozen. With summer storms already in place and hurricane season underway, these panels can also provide a reliable back up to keep refrigerators and freezers at their optimal temperatures in case of a power outage.

Four XL Tundra Series panels have been shown to maintain a sub-freezing temperature for four days in a high performance cooler. Tundra Series’ sturdy HDPE panels can be stored for as long as needed on freezer shelves with no loss of freeze/thaw characteristics. Should there be a sudden power outage, Tundra Series’ low freezing point of 5°F and ability to absorb surrounding heat can help to maintain freezing temperatures within the home freezer longer.

Arctic Ice recommends at least four to six XL Tundra Panels to ensure a prolonged frozen environment in a top freezer and up to 12 for larger upright freezers.

These new miracles for the cooler come in four convenient sized panels from .75 pounds for the lunchbox all the way up to an extra large five-pound workhorse. They are made from rugged high-density polyethylene that will provide years of puncture proof service and are dishwasher safe.

The manufacturers even provide a limited lifetime warranty against leakage.

The Arctic Ice™ Series is a promising innovation in an outdoor market that is always looking for a better way to keep things cool. It's great to see a company come along and think outside to box, to keep things colder – inside the box.
