Financial VP Fights Pesky Bugs with Launch of Biteback Sports Insect Shield® Golf Apparel

SEATTLE, WA – While golfing in Scotland and abroad, Biteback Sports CEO, Stephen Grant, found it hard to stay focused on his game due to the incessant buzzing and biting midges and mosquitoes. The constant whine, slapping and continual need to spray insect repellent became so laborious, he began researching innovative methods to stay protected from insects while golfing. He ultimately found a solution and despite a successful career in the Financial Services/Investment Banking Industry, decided to change direction and launch Biteback Sports, a collection of insect protective Golf Apparel.

The entire BiteBack Sports assortment features Insect Shield® Technology to protect against mosquitoes, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges (no-see-ums) including those that can carry dangerous diseases such as Lyme, malaria and West Nile Virus. Insect Shield protection is invisible, odorless, does not change the feel of the garment and lasts through 70 launderings – the expected life of a garment. Biteback’s current assortment offers a range of solid and two-tone Polo shirts with a cap on the way soon. Charity is a vital component to the brand as well, and 30p of all online sales will be donated to Malaria No More UK.

“Scotland is the ideal playground for the Biteback Sports brand with its biting midges and world-renowned golf courses including five Open Championship venues, Gleneagles the host of this years Ryder Cup, and the home of golf, St Andrews,” says Grant. “Now, thanks to BiteBack Sports, golfers will be able to stay focused on getting birdies instead of bites.”
